Who is your safety supplier and what are they doing to ensure you are getting the right products?

Based on testing information provided by the American National Standards Institute, OSHA is expected to begin changing some of the parameters used in testing certain safety equipment.  One of the changes is the increase in weight for drop testing, which will change from 220 pounds to 310 pounds.  This is being changed to better reflect a more realistic weight of a 250 pound worker that would be carrying up to 60 additional pounds of tools and safety equipment when working at heights.  To ensure the ability of critical safety devices to meet this requirement, Formetco has started an independent testing program utilizing a 310 pound mannequin to further evaluate current equipment performance.
