Formetco, the nation’s leading supplier and manufacturer to the outdoor advertising industry, proves itself as the vendor of choice for spectacular digital signs in the city of Atlanta.

The first digital spectacular that Formetco installed in Atlanta was a 30-foot by 50-foot display with a 16mm pixel pitch. The sign was built for Whiteway Outdoor Advertising in 2015, and it exclusively showcased content for the Atlanta-based Delta Airlines. In 2016, another digital face of the same size was added to the backside of the rooftop structure. Formetco handled both projects from beginning to end, facilitating and extending its expertise to provide groundbreaking signage in the area. Since these projects’ completions, the Atlanta-based company continues to add to its portfolio of spectacular signs including installations for Georgia’s Own Credit Union, Cobb Galleria and the Atlanta Sign in Centennial Olympic Park.

Richard Mashburn, CEO of Mashburn Outdoor, chose Formetco as the vendor for the Atlanta sign in Centennial Olympic Park before selling to Blackbird Media. “After meeting with Formetco for this spectacular sign, I knew I wanted their help for this iconic Atlanta sign. For one, compared to other vendors, Formetco offers an excellent product with competitive pricing and provides some of the best customer service in the industry. I can call them about an issue in the morning, and by the afternoon, the team is working to resolve the problem.”

Chenault Sanders, the founder and CEO of Blackbird Media, had previously worked with Formetco, and when the opportunity presented itself to purchase this iconic sign build from Mashburn Outdoor, Sanders knew he would be in good hands.

“Through our partnership with Formetco, they were able to fill some gaps for us,” quoted Sanders. “Specifically, their level of service but the product itself, making it a seamless integration and take our business to the next level with this spectacular.”

Formetco offers flexible scheduling including working weekends and exclusively at night in order to avoid lane closures and other hurdles associated with big projects in the city.

“What sets Formetco apart from other out-of-home companies is that our team works closely with our clients from the start to finish of a project,” says Britt McConnell, Formetco digital sales manager. “Formetco has the experience with the bureaucracy and red tape associated with the sheer size of these types of projects, especially in Atlanta. We can handle the permitting from our end.”
