Overview
Formetco Safety Gloves are cut-resistant safety gloves made from HPPE foam nitrile coated material that resist abrasions, cuts, tears, and punctures, while offering great grip in wet, greasy, and oily applications. For crews handling steel components, cabling, and hardware on billboard structures, hand protection needs to hold up to mechanical hazards and slippery conditions at the same time, and this glove is built to address both.

Coating and Grip
The foam nitrile coating is what does the work in wet or oily conditions, helping maintain grip on surfaces that would otherwise cause a bare hand — or an uncoated glove — to slip. That grip matters when a crew member is handling tools, fasteners, or structural components at height, where a dropped item or a lost hold is far more consequential than on the ground.
Cut and Puncture Resistance
Made from high-performance polyethylene material, the glove is rated to ANSI Level A2 Cut, Abrasion, and Puncture Resistance. That combination of cut, abrasion, and puncture resistance covers the range of hand hazards common around sheet metal edges, wire rope, and hardware assembly, rather than protecting against just one type of risk.
Fit, Comfort, and Care
The glove offers excellent dexterity and flexibility, so crews aren’t fighting the glove to manipulate small hardware or fasteners, and its comfort fitting with a high wrist cuff extends coverage further up the forearm than a standard cuff — useful when reaching into or around structural framing. The gloves are also washable, extending their useful life on the job rather than treating them as disposable after a single dirty task, a practical benefit for crews working with grease, oil, or coatings on a regular basis.
