Ladder ProShield®

Overview

The Ladder ProShield is a lockable, 8-foot-tall ladder proshield access cover engineered to control access to fixed ladders on outdoor structures. It allows authorized crew members to reach a ladder while deterring unauthorized climbers and vandals from doing the same. For billboard and out-of-home advertising companies, fixed ladders are often the only way onto a structure — which also makes them the easiest point of entry for anyone who shouldn’t be there. The ProShield addresses that vulnerability directly by physically covering the base of the ladder until an authorized person unlocks it.

How It Works

Gaining access is simple for an authorized climber: unlock and remove the flexible-shackle padlock, then swing the ProShield door open. What sets this design apart is the swing latch built into the system, which securely locks the door in place once a climber has passed through. That detail matters more than it might seem — a door that can swing shut on its own while someone is mid-climb is a hazard, and the swing latch exists specifically to prevent the door from accidentally closing while the ladder is in use.
