Gripper Bars are built for flex-face vinyl installations, giving crews a lightweight, non-conductive way to secure vinyl into panel pockets while working safely around the electrical hazards common to outdoor billboard sites.

Because Gripper Bars are non-conductive, they protect against accidental electrical shocks while working onsite. Always be aware of hazards around you when working on billboards, such as nearby power lines, and use non-conductive hardware wherever it’s available.
Solid Core Fiberglass Construction
Formetco’s fiberglass gripper bars are made from non-conductive, corrosion resistant solid core fiberglass, a construction that holds up to sun, moisture, and repeated handling without the corrosion issues metal bars can develop over time outdoors.
UV Protectant Veil
An exclusive UV Protectant Veil helps protect the bar from chipping or splintering, keeping the surface intact through long-term UV exposure so crews aren’t handling a degraded or splintering bar during installation.
Easy Installation
Gripper Bars easily slide into flexible vinyl pockets, simplifying the process of prepping vinyl for mounting compared to more cumbersome hardware options.
Lightweight and Long-Lasting
Being light weight, the bars are easier for crews to handle and maneuver on site, and their long lifespan translates to a lower life-cycle cost over the life of a billboard structure compared to hardware that needs more frequent replacement.
Won’t Distract From Your Copy
The bars are grey in color so as not to detract from ad copy, keeping the finished installation looking clean along the vinyl edge.
Sizing
Gripper Bars include a 5/8″ diameter option for poster panel inserts and a 3/4″ diameter option for bulletin wraps, and are available in 10ft, 12ft, 14ft and 24ft standard lengths, with custom sizes also available to match non-standard panel configurations.
