Falcon® Panel

Falcon® Panel

Overview

The FALCON™ Bulletin Panel is Formetco’s galvanized metal and aluminum panel system, developed in direct response to customer requests for an alternative to Formetco’s standard production panels. Drawing on the company’s experience building durable wood framed panels for the outdoor advertising industry, Formetco applied that same engineering approach to a galvanized metal and aluminum design intended to last just as long while delivering the highest quality of any panel on the market today.

Built From Durable, Weather-Ready Materials

The face of the FALCON Panel uses a highly durable aluminum composite (ACM) sheeting, thermally rated from -58 to 176 degrees Fahrenheit, giving it the range needed to hold up across hot summers and cold winters on exposed outdoor structures. Because the frame is galvanized metal, it requires no welding or painting, simplifying both manufacturing and long-term maintenance in the field.

A Frame Engineered to Resist Bending

FALCON Panels use a modular and rigid 1-5/8” thick C-frame design that is built to prevent bending under the pressure created during ratcheting. The face and frame are assembled with recessed dacrotized screws, and all panels are bolted together to create a smooth, consistent face across the full bulletin. Panels are then locked and secured in place with screws placed through the stringer clips, keeping the assembly tight and stable once installed.

Flexible Installation Across Stringer Types

Field adjustable and leveling stringer clips allow the FALCON Panel to be installed on wood stringers, angle-iron stringers, or inverted angle-iron stringers, giving crews flexibility to work with whatever stringer configuration is already on a given structure. End panels are built with set-back stringer clips designed for short stringers and for better side vinyl wrapping. A replaceable, pressure treated wood reinforcement runs along the top of the panel to support cut-out extensions when needed.

Lighter Weight, Faster Installation

Compared to many other frame and panel designs, the FALCON Panel is lighter weight, which can make handling and installation easier for crews in the field. Because the system uses fewer panels overall, installation time is reduced compared to designs that require more individual pieces to assemble a full bulletin face.

Sizing and Configuration Options

FALCON Panels are manufactured in standard bulletin sizes, including 12×24’s, 10.5×36’s, 14×48’s, and 20×60’s, with custom sizes available upon request. For applications that call for a frame without a face, the FALCON system is also available as a simple panel-free frame.

Patent Protection

The FALCON Panel is protected by U.S. Patent No. 12,682,791. Additional U.S. patents pending.
