Direct-To-Pole

Overview

Direct-to-Pole is a panel-free frame system engineered specifically for wood pole structures. It was designed for coastal markets, where wind exposure puts the greatest strain on outdoor structures, but it’s perfect for all wood pole structures regardless of location. By eliminating the need for solid metal or wood faces, Direct-to-Pole removes the heaviest, most storm-vulnerable component of a traditional pole structure.

Built to Take the Hit From Hurricane Winds

Rather than resisting high winds, Direct-to-Pole is built to let them through. The system reduces structural damage by allowing hurricane winds to pass through harmlessly instead of loading up a solid face and transferring that force into the pole. That same philosophy carries through the rest of the design: the system eliminates the need for angle-iron or wood stringers and requires no vertical mast supports, which also means reduced weight on the structure overall. Less dead weight and fewer load-bearing components translate directly into less stress on the pole itself.

Solving for Real Wood Poles

Wood poles are rarely perfectly straight, and traditional rigid faces don’t forgive that. Direct-to-Pole’s frame system accommodates for misaligned wood poles, so there are no more warped faces caused by an out-of-true structure. The frame also provides plenty of work room between back-to-back faces for wrapping vinyls, giving install crews the clearance they need to do the job efficiently instead of working in a cramped gap.

Built to Last, Built to Protect the Vinyl

The perimeter frame is galvanized, which prevents rusting and eliminates the need for painting over the life of the structure. Smooth radius frame edges increase vinyl longevity by removing the sharp contact points that cause premature wear where the vinyl meets the frame. For faces where the advertising vinyl deserves extra protection, the system accommodates backdrop vinyls, which protect the advertising vinyl from excessive wear and tear.

Faster to Install

Direct-to-Pole uses less hardware than other systems, which means reduced install time for crews in the field. It’s available in a variety of face sizes to fit different structures, and the system is patent pending.
