Formetco is excited to announce the return of our High School Scoreboard Summer Camp — a free, one-day training event built for high school students passionate about AV production, sports media, film, and live event technology.
If you have students who will be in high school for the 2025–2026 school year and have an interest in the gameday experience or behind-the-scenes tech, this is an opportunity you don’t want them to miss!

Students will get the inside scoop on careers in sports broadcasting, live events, and Georgia’s booming film and TV production industry — an industry supported locally by training pipelines like the Georgia Film Academy, which partners with studios such as Assembly Atlanta to prepare students for on-set careers. They’ll also have a chance to connect directly with professionals shaping the future of these fields.

Why Attend the Formetco High School Scoreboard Summer Camp?
The camp builds on Formetco’s ongoing commitment to developing the next generation of AV and sports production talent. Last year’s $5,000 Gameday Excellence Scholarship was awarded to Kai Schultz of Woodstock High School, who went on to serve as Formetco’s Student Ambassador throughout the following school year — representing the kind of hands-on opportunity students can grow into simply by attending. Every student who takes part in the high school scoreboard summer camp leaves with real production experience, direct access to college and industry mentors, and a clearer sense of where an AV or broadcasting career could take them.

Meanwhile, AV teachers will have their own dedicated track led by Renewed Vision, covering curriculum ideas, tools, and best practices for building a stronger AV program at school.
Each breakout session is built to give students real, hands-on skills they can take straight back to their school’s stadium or auditorium. In the Instant Replay session, students learn to run live replays using vMix, simulating what it feels like to control the video board during real-time game moments.
The Audio Engineering session covers mic setup, speaker testing, and mixing techniques so fans in the stands — and online — can hear every moment clearly. The ProPresenter session introduces advanced features educators and students can use for both gameday presentations and classroom learning. And in Gameday Producing, students walk through scripting, timing, and crew management to understand how to run an entire broadcast from behind the scenes.
