Machine Operator

Machine Operator – Amada turret press and brake press
– position located in Duluth, GA

Summary:

Will safely set up and run Amada turret press and brake press.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Set up and run a brake press and Amada turret press using CNC controls.
Create or make changes to bending programs.
Perform adjustments to press brakes and turret presses.
Stop production to correct an unsafe condition.
Stop production to correct a quality issue.
Use forklift to load material into machines or move material to and from production area.
Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment and machinery.
Perform other duties as required.

Education/Experience/Skills:

Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing/warehouse environment required.
Previous knowledge of how to set up, program, operate, and adjust Amada RG and HDS Series Press Brakes a plus.
Knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments – calipers, protractors, micrometers and other gages.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
Previous forklift experience required.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:

Position requires lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, or moving materials up to 50 pounds, standing on your feet most of the shift repetitive movements, and hands on general labor.

Must complete a pre-employment drug test and a background check.
